Saint Petersburg Airport or Pulkovo Airport (IATA: LED, ICAO: ULLI) is an international airport serving the city of Saint Petersburg, the second largest city in Russia. It also serves the Leningrad Oblast. The airport is located 23 kilometers south of Saint Petersburg city centre (Palace Square). The airport serves as a hub for Rossiya Airlines and is a focus city for Nordavia.

Pulkovo airport was a state owned airport until 2010. Since then, an international consortium operates the airport and a new terminal has been built.

Saint Petersburg Airport or Pulkovo Airport is the third busiest airport in Russia after the two airports serving the city of Moscow (Domodedovo and Sheremetyevo). The busiest routes are domestic flights.
In 2015, the airport handled over 13 million passengers and although it is not the highest number in terms of passenger traffic at the airport, it is still between the top three ones during last decade.


Saint Petersburg Airport, or Pulkovo Airport has one unique big terminal, serving both domestic and international flights in the same building, in a very efficient way. This terminal replaces old terminals called Pulkovo 1 and Pulkovo 2.


The construction of the new terminal began in 2010 and was opened in December 3, 2013. All flights were transferred to this terminal in February 2014.It has a capacity of 17 million passengers per year.


The terminal has 4 floors, 88 Check-in counters, 17 departure gates and 110 aircraft parking stands.

Terminal Facilities

The terminal has four levels:

- First Floor (Ground Floor): Arrivals Level and baggage carrousels.

- Second Level: Security checkpoint, passport control area, tourist center and recreational area.

- Third Level: Departures and customs area.

- Fourth Level: Some restaurants and a business lounge

Other Facilities: ATM (1st floor), Car rental desks (1st floor), Baggage Storage, First AID (2nd floor), Park Inn Hotel.

- Taxi: The Taxi Pulkovo counters are located at Arrivals hall on the first floor of the Terminal. You can pay for your taxi at the Taxi Pulkovo counter or in cash to the driver.


- Buses: There are three city buses that run between the nearest Moskovskaya metro station and the airport: City bus number 39Э (Ex), city bus number 39 and Minivan Taxi number K39).


- Train: LED airport is 15 minutes walk to the nearest train station, Airport (Аэропорт).
